Maximum Impact Training (MIT) was founded with a vision to fill a critical gap in track & field and speed development. We equip young athletes with the tools to reach their full potential, achieve personal goals, and build the confidence that leads to success both in sports and in life.


Founded in 2008 by Mel Anderson—former Pittsburgh, PA high school track All-American, University of Minnesota Gopher, and Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver—alongside his son Isaac Anderson, a standout receiver at The Blake School, Wisconsin Badgers, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers, MIT has become a premier destination for athletes of all sports. Our athletes develop speed, athleticism, and technical skills that translate into top performances and collegiate opportunities.


While we specialize in track & field and football development, MIT empowers athletes at every level—from beginners to elites—to sharpen their athleticism and excel in their chosen sport. Our results speak for themselves: hundreds of MIT athletes have gone on to compete in college, while countless others have surpassed their personal goals and achieved national rankings.


With elite training facilities across the Twin Cities—including the MIT Fitness & Wellness Center in New Hope, the University of Minnesota Track Fieldhouse, the Minneapolis Sports Center, and Brooklyn Center athletic facilities—we provide training solutions year-round. Whether in-season or off-season, MIT’s strategic training fills the gap beyond traditional conditioning, ensuring athletes are always developing, never plateauing.
